But it was much less extreme than what you had to live through. Even so, I think by the time the mercury hit 25°C the locals were starting to droop. From the department of useless trivia: apparently Nimes is the <a href="http://www.passports.com/trips/cityfact/cityfact.asp?city=Nimes" rel="nofollow">second-warmest city in France</a>.
