Lazuli Productions was formed in the fall of 2000 by Paulette Bibeau and Lia Pas to showcase their creative multi-disciplinary performance projects.

Lazuli Productions premiere project was "The Descent of Inanna" which was performed on March 8, 2001 to a sold-out audience at Her-icane Caroline - 25th Street Theatre's 3rd Annual Women's Festival held in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada.

"The Descent of Inanna" is a one hour rich initiatory ritual enactment of the ancient Sumerian Myth "The Descent of Inanna" in which Inanna, Queen of Heaven and Earth descends to the underworld to meet her dark sister, Ereshkigal, Queen of the Great Below. This production employs original music, songs, text and dance by Lia Pas and Paulette Bibeau and was directed by Beata Van Berkom.
